GENDER PEOPLE

Christians of African Descent

Part of the overall spiritual environment of MCCNY. There are general meetings open to all on the 2nd Sunday of every month following the 11am Celebration. For more information, contact Montel Cherry at welcomingteam@mccny.org.
Welcoming Team Ministry

The Welcoming Team is dedicated to making initial visits to MCCNY enjoyable for our visitors. We also work to encourage social interaction among all MCCNYers through gatherings, name tags and workshops. Additionally, we represent MCCNY at community functions. Green Team

A group of MCCNYers working to reduce our impact on the environment. Current recycling efforts include collecting refundable bottles & cans and collecting used cell phones, printer cartridges & laser ink cartridges. For more information, Mike Easterling at welcomingteam@mccny.org.
Sunday School

MCCNY offers an inclusive curriculum for children ages 3-12 during the 11am Celebration service. For more information, contact Mel Bryant at mel@mccny.org.
MUSIC MINISTRY      
One of the most popular aspects of Sunday worship services at MCCNY is the talented vocal work of our choir. Each service offers a different style of music providing a space for individual expression. MCCNY provides social services through MCCNY Charities, a comprehensive social service provider, working within and beyond the LGBTQI community. An independent 501(c)(3) organization, MCCNY Charities furthers the mission of MCCNY to bring the world to right and just relationship.

MCCNY Charities operates MCCNY Homeless Youth Services: Sylvia’s Place, a provider of emergency shelter and services to over 1,000 homeless LGBTQ youth per year, the Sylvia Rivera Food Pantry providing 550 bag lunches and 250 bags of groceries per week to those in need in the community.
